Damages and Return Policy

All items on our site are considered final sale and returns are generally not accepted. 

In general, if you made a purchase from us on Whatnot or Ebay that suffered damage/issues with delivery then you must open a ticket within the respective platform. Please note that Whatnot and Ebay have their own respective timelines for opening relevant damage/loss/issue tickets. We must rely on the decisions and policies of the respective platforms for purchases made on their sites and apps. Your individual buying relationship with those platforms can effect the outcome of tickets you submit with them.

If an item arrives damaged or in an unacceptable condition, you must initiate a damage request ticket within 14 days of receipt by submitting a damage submission or by emailing us at support@comictom101.com. The condition is subject to review against our condition guarantee.  

A picture must be taken with the damaged item next to the printed label and packaging it was shipped in to confirm receipt and that the damage is for your individual order.

This is necessary to submit claims through insurance. Failure to do this can result in a lowered capacity for replacement and refunds. Failure to reach out to us regarding products damaged during shipment in a timely manner diminishes our ability to help you.

Damage or condition resolution requests and notifications must be initiated within 14 days of receipt of the item. If you fail to respond in a timely manner (7 days) to any questions we have regarding this damage, you may forfeit the opportunity for replacement/refund as we are subject to insurance timelines with our carriers.

We issue replacements whenever possible, but will issue refunds on damaged sold out items. We may ask that an item is returned or destroyed with evidence before we remit replacements or refunds. Destruction is only in the case of print count protection.

International customers should note that we are especially held to longer insurance timelines to replace and refund their items. Accommodations will be made whenever possible for replacements but cannot be guaranteed. Reaching out as soon as possible can aid in this as the delivery window on international orders is much longer and shortens our window to help.

Keep the packaging long enough to take any pictures that show 1) the label 2) any external damage to the package and 3) the item next to the label in the same picture. At least one image must contain both of those things in the same image. More images should be provided if multiple items are damaged. Condition Guarantee

Raw Books:

All raw books are pre-screened and circulated with the best conditions available, bagged and boarded.

Customers can expect to receive raw comics at 9.4 or better.

CGC Definition of 9.4:

"A very well-preserved collectible with minor wear and small manufacturing or handling defects."

We rely on industry standards for determining condition in regards to corner and spine condition, print rub, and other manufacturing defects. All new to market books are subject to potential manufacturing defects. Printing outcomes can vary and we ensure presale buyers receive the best copies from any print run.

For CGC Books:

Grades on CGC Preorders are subject to final grading from CGC. While rare, grading outcomes can be lower than 9.8. All books that fall under the Presale category for CGC grading lower than the advertised grading outcome will be offered options for cancellation or refund depending on this outcome. CGC books sold from stock (Not Preorder) are guaranteed for the grade they are listed as. The CGC slab can be expected to be an intact, new product. Damage during shipment to the slab is generally considered separate from the book and does not automatically devalue the raw book inside the slab.  CGC books take an additional grading period after a books release date before they will be shipped, this is subject to CGC's active grading lead times.
